Opel in the commercial vehicle segment

The Opel Vivaro is one of the models behind Opel’s spectacular comeback in the light commercial vehicle segment. In addition to the Vivaro, these models are also the Opel Combo and Opel Movano. However, the Vivaro is the best-selling car in this segment, with sales up 38% in 2015 alone.

“The Combo, Vivaro and Movano are an important part of our growth strategy. We plan to increase LCV sales by around 80 per cent by 2022, from 83,000 units in 2013 to 150,000 units in 2022.” said Steffen Raschig, Head of Opel Commercial Vehicles.

What makes the Opel Vivaro special?

The Vivaro is a versatile model that can be customised into a commercial van – it can be a box van, a Combi, a double cab van or a chassis cab. In addition to its versatile functionality, it is also an elegant and professional vehicle that is a representative calling card for its owners. For passenger comfort, it offers a multifunctional seat with a table, storage space and document clip, armrests and lumbar support for the driver and an adjustable steering wheel.

The car not only offers great comfort for passengers but also helps with transporting bulky loads. It has a payload of up to 1.2 tonnes and a load compartment length of up to 2.5 or 2.9 metres. Thanks to the opening in the bulkhead, you can carry loads up to 4.15 metres long. You can easily transport three Euro pallets in the truck.

The Opel Vivaro is one of the best in its category in terms of overall operating costs and also helps the environment thanks to its low fuel consumption and low CO2 emissions. For greater efficiency, it has turbocharged engines and advanced Biturbo engines. For optimum operating economy, Eco Mode can be used.
