The new Opel Crossland X joins the popular Mokka X in the CUV category as a great choice for modern families and city driving. The three models in the X family will be complemented by the new Opel Grandland X, which will be launched in the compact class (C segment) later this year. But the new Crossland X was already unveiled on February 1st in Berlin.

Exterior design

The new Opel Crossland XZ In terms of design, the new Opel is based on distinctive and clean features. The front end is characterised by a distinctive radiator grille with chrome trim and the characteristic LED daytime running lights in the shape of a double wing. The high-set tail lights also bear the same shape. The Crossland X has black plastic cladding typical of SUVs, which complements the glossy silver panels at the bottom of the car.

Interior design

The interior is dominated by a 20.3 cm touchscreen monitor in the centre stack that provides access to the advanced IntelliLink system, which controls the radio, navigation and, optionally, the Opel OnStar telematics system for safety and information functions and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The car also offers comfortable sliding rear seats. Sliding them backwards gives you more passenger space; sliding them forwards significantly increases luggage space (from 410 to 520 litres).

Specifications and technology of Opel Crossland X

The car is characterised not only by its comfort and excellent connectivity, but also by its wide range of petrol, diesel and LPG engines.

Safety and comfort are also enhanced by adaptive AFL headlights and the Opel Eye camera, which is the basis for various assistance systems. These include Speed Sign Recognition, Lane Keep Assist, cruise control with speed limiter, pedestrian detection with automatic emergency braking and Forward Collision Alert. From 2018, the system will be coupled with Driver Fatigue Detection.

Optionally, the car can be equipped with a panoramic rear camera that increases the angle of view to the rear of the car. Parking is also made easier with Advanced Park Assist, which can register a parking space and steer the car into it. In the winter months, the driver will appreciate the heated steering wheel and heated front window.
